Deepwater Subsea Production Systems for Offshore Development

The cooperation between Eni and SLB OneSubsea focuses on the engineering, procurement and construction of an integrated subsea production system for the Baleine Phase 3 deepwater project offshore Côte d'Ivoire. The project supports offshore oil and gas production through standardized subsea infrastructure designed for multi-well field development and long-term operation.

Technical Cooperation for Offshore Production
Eni, the project operator, awarded SLB OneSubsea an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract covering subsea production systems for 13 offshore wells. The cooperation combines Eni's field development responsibilities with SLB OneSubsea's expertise in subsea engineering, manufacturing, installation and life-of-field support.

The project addresses the technical challenges associated with deepwater production, where subsea equipment must operate reliably under high-pressure offshore conditions while maintaining production continuity and minimizing intervention requirements. Cooperation enables the integration of specialized equipment, installation services and operational support within a single execution framework.

Integrated Subsea Production System
SLB OneSubsea is responsible for delivering the complete subsea production system, including subsea trees, umbilicals, manifolds, multiphase flowmeters and subsea control systems. The company also manages installation, commissioning and long-term technical support throughout the operational life of the field.

The integrated system connects individual production wells with subsea gathering infrastructure and surface production facilities. Umbilicals provide hydraulic power, electrical distribution and communication links for remote equipment control, while manifolds consolidate production streams. Multiphase flowmeters provide continuous monitoring of production performance without requiring fluid separation at the measurement point, supporting reservoir management and production optimization.

Deployment and Engineering Execution
The subsea infrastructure will be deployed as part of the Baleine Phase 3 offshore development. Project execution includes engineering, equipment manufacturing, offshore installation, commissioning and operational support.

SLB OneSubsea will perform the work through its established local organization and engineering capabilities in Côte d'Ivoire. Local project support is intended to facilitate logistics, installation activities and maintenance throughout the project lifecycle while integrating with the existing offshore development infrastructure.

Industrial Applications and Expected Impact
The cooperation supports offshore oil and gas production, particularly deepwater developments requiring integrated subsea production systems and digital infrastructure for remote field operation.

By combining engineering, equipment supply and installation under a single EPC framework, the project reduces interface complexity between contractors and supports coordinated project execution. The integrated approach is intended to improve schedule management, simplify system integration and enhance maintainability across the 13-well subsea production network.
